A Poem by James Curtis (aged 7 years 11 months)

Listen!
What can you hear?
A rustling sound of a tree swaying gently in the wind,
A splashing of waves crashing onto the beach.

Listen,
What can you hear?
A lid of an old rusty box creaking as someone opens the lid,
A ghost haunting the corridors as the clock chimes midnight.

Listen,
What can you hear?
Shshshsh don’t say a thing.

Listen,
What can you hear?
I can hear a mouse tiptoeing through rooms.

Listen,
What can you hear?
Shshshsh I can hear two naughty children having pillow fights quietly so their mums and dads don’t hear them.

Listen,
What can you hear?
Shhhh don’t say a sound
I can hear everything!!!
